Landscape Gardening A/K/A Landscaping

Landscape gardening could actually be any of the topics on our site since all gardening is form of landscaping.

Many people don't realize it, but landscaping is a form of gardening. It is the most common of all the gardens. Almost every home has a yard and some landscaping. It is that sprcific niche that we will cover in this area of the site.

Landscaping covers many different areas and forms of gardening. You could even classify mowing your lawn as landscaping! Speaking of grasses, landscaping nearly always involves decorative grasses, and the great thing about them is they don't take much work for upkeep. Types of grass include monkey grass, pampas, buffalo grass, flame grass, and ornamental millet. You plant them once and let them grow. In cold weather ares you may need to remove the dead foliage. That is about as easy as it gets.

Growing a lawn to rival a golf course is a form of landscaping and gardening. The best ones are true blue ribbon winners.

Landscaping is not just limited to plant life, but also includes anything done to a yard for decoration, such as adding rocks or stones, putting a small pond, statutes, or a waterfall or even a water garden.

Each of those topics will be covered in more detail in the appropriate section. We are going to use this category to provide a place for the lanscaping articles that don't fit better in another specific category.
